Juliet Blake was not supposed to be in the foster care system. But the classic beauty found out she was being placed with foster parents after a freak car accident in Rome killed her parents. Now as a senior she's living on her own while trying to decide what to do about senior year.

After what happened in Italy,she does have a fear everyone but a select few is out to get her and with good reason. Over the summer her car was egged, her fencing gear bag was trashed and she has been a sometimes target of teasing because of her accent. She has no idea why she became a suddent target but with her manners and kindness(plus accent) someone just had it in for her. There was also the factor of a semi nasty breakup(at least the rumor mill says that) but it was actually on very good terms. It was just a case of bad timing but she and him have stayed close as friends. She also tries to help everyone close to her in little ways, that just being her nature. Her most recent was a girl who just needed a little push in the right direction.

Now she's just trying to survive senior year with no problems and put last summer's egging behind her. But can she be seen as more than the French girl? With her classic looks and perfect manners she's pretty but to borrow a favorite quote of hers,"There is more to me than meets the wardrobe or the accent". Chicago was not her first choice but she is trying to bloom where she is planted, but this is nothing like her last boarding school in London.

After the worst year of her life will she finally be able to start over? LA just seemed like the perfect place for a fresh start and to finish her senior year of high school. She works as a waitress and somethimes French language interpeter to pay the bills. But she dreams of escaping the past and making it as either a model or actress.
